William joined Tursec Security Group in January, 2020. In his current role as the Security Operations Director (SOD), William provides advanced technical leadership and coordination in the planning, development, implementation and operations of Tursec-wide, integrated security systems, Safety, QA and to ensure security teams are maximized to deliver strategic initiatives and business objectives.

He has vast experience in conducting security risk assessments, and ability to provide high quality security training to local staff, familiar with challenges to remote security areas. He has a high willingness to travel, ability to work well under pressure in challenging conditions, gained over a 19-year period from operations and training during service in the Air Force Arm of the Kenya Defense Forces.

Before Tursec, William was in various security leadership roles with The BGP International Group as Field Security Supervisor supporting oil and gas exploration operations in Northern Kenya, Newport Africa, Olive Group, Pelings Security and Control Risks as The Asset Protection Advisor with the Marriott Drilling Rig.

Working with BGP, Newport Africa, Olive Group and Control Risks East Africa offered him a vast array of exposure and great experience of Seismic and Drilling operations in the Oil and Gas industry. William holds a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Airframe & Engine) awarded from The Kenya Armed Forces Technical College, Diploma in Aircraft Technician Course at The Lack Land Air Force Base in San Antonio City Texas (USA). He’s a proud Eagle and an Aircraft Crew Chief i.e. Air Plane General (APG)
